The name “Mountain Goat Bitters” originated from a nickname given by my partner, Cindi, during hikes in the Colorado mountains. My tendency to “sprint up the mountainside like a mountain goat” led to the name sticking within my family.

The journey into bitters began with a conversation with a bar manager in Grand Junction, who shared his challenges and experiences with tinctures. This sparked my imagination, leading me down a rabbit hole of learning and crafting experimental bitter formulations.
